The Truth Hurts: How to Love Yourself By Gili Man Wolner, Emotional Healer
Sometimes goodbyes, endings, and new beginnings come all at once. It feels like a roller coaster, exciting and frightening all at once.
Letting go is hard, isn’t it? But clinging with all your strength is even harder.
Almost all the pain in our lives comes from clinging too tightly. We cling to what happened, who we once were, who we hope to become, other people’s approval, and seasons of life that are already over. We can become so focused on holding on that we miss the moment when it’s time to let go.
The tighter we hold on, the more it hurts when something is gone. This is the process, the path we’re meant to surrender to, even when it feels like losing control.
People think controlling everything will make them powerful. The opposite is true. When you try to control everything, you lose your power.
The only power we have is self-control. Our only victory is self-love.
This episode marks a personal change, too. Tal, my beloved podcast partner, has moved on to her next project, and I’m letting her go with love. I want to thank her for her presence and her contribution to this podcast and to my life. Tal, it has been a great honor to be your Emotional Healer for three years and to walk beside you through the meaningful processes you’ve been going through in your life. It has also been an honor to create 63 episodes together. They’ll always be our shared baby.
Now it’s just me and The Truth Hurts. Welcome to the solo version.
