Episode notes

An evening to awaken consciousness in the spirit of Hanukkah. Bar Giora, Tel Aviv. December 8. Details (in Hebrew): pages.greeninvoice.co.il

What can money tell us about desire? Everything in our world has a spiritual root. The Hebrew word for money, kesef, comes from kisufim, a word for intense longing or yearning for something or someone. That connection is at the heart of this episode: money is the energy of desire. It gives expression to your desire to receive, give, create and bring something into being. When money feels blocked, it usually points to a block in desire, or in the belief that you’re allowed to ask, receive or enjoy.

Why, then, do some people do very little and still have enough for everything, while others work themselves to the bone and remain trapped in scarcity? Because money isn’t matter. It’s energy. It isn’t the result of hard work; it reflects who you are. The universe doesn’t respond to your efforts, and no amount of sweat can guarantee that money will come. Abundance isn’t something you acquire. It’s a state of mind that already exists within us. The question is whether you’re tuned to its vibration.

Your nervous system and subconscious are responsible for 95% of how much money is in your bank account, how many clients you have and even how clear you feel about your business. Before you repeat “I’m in a state of abundance,” “I am abundance,” or another beautiful mantra you found online, look at what happens in practice. Those mantras have their place, but repeating a money mantra and declaring that you’re a millionaire mean little if spending money on yourself makes you feel bad. You can’t claim to live in abundance while you’re afraid to ask for a raise. And if you’re still undercharging, you aren’t living in abundance.

Money blocks aren’t really about money. They come down to worthiness: how much you believe you’re worth and whether you feel worthy of receiving life’s abundance. Many of our beliefs about money take root in our first relationship, the one with our mother, because she is our first source of nourishment. If you didn’t receive the love you wanted from her, you may not feel fully worthy of love. That feeling can extend to abundance and money, too.

Abundance is always present. What appears in your life reflects the stories you tell yourself, including the limiting beliefs about money held in your subconscious. Heal the part of you that believes wealth must cost you something. True abundance costs nothing and takes nothing away from anything else. It multiplies.

In spiritual terms, money is understood as the energy that allows spirit to take material form. When you learn to manage it with a clear consciousness, guided by faith rather than fear, you connect heaven and earth. This is why the sages said, “There is no poverty except in understanding.” They weren’t speaking only about intellectual knowledge. They were describing the inner recognition that when I’m connected to the Source of abundance, to the Creator, there is no real lack.

Listen in and find out how it’s done.
