A Hanukkah evening devoted to awakening consciousness will take place at Bar Giora in Tel Aviv on December 8. Details (in Hebrew): pages.greeninvoice.co.il
Who taught us how to think? Who shaped what we call “reality” and decided what education and healthcare should look like, what’s considered normal, and what qualifies as “scientific”? Most importantly, who benefits when we’re taught to think in a particular way?
This episode explores those questions through history, systems, and consciousness, not conspiracy theory. A century ago, a few very powerful people understood a simple principle: whoever controls consciousness controls reality. They built systems that form habits. Habits form beliefs, and beliefs shape reality. That leaves us in a strange position: we’re born free into a reality someone else built.
From childhood, we were given a simple account of how the world works. School was where we learned math, Hebrew, and history. If we were in pain, we went to a doctor to have our bodies fixed. Money was a tool. Television kept us informed.
But education, medicine, the economy, and the media do more than provide services. They also shape consciousness. In the 20th century, these systems were designed to produce a particular kind of person: obedient, dependent, ready to consume, and less attentive to the light within.
Why does that matter? When we don’t trust ourselves, we’re easy to control. When we’re afraid of making a mistake, it’s easier to obey. Raised on tests, we keep looking to others for reassurance that we’re “okay.” If we never learn to listen inwardly, we never learn to resist. That’s how we came to believe we’re free, even though these systems were designed precisely to weaken what is within us. Real freedom can’t be found outside us; it begins within.
An education system that produces obedience, medicine that produces dependence, an economy that produces a sense of lack, and media that shapes emotion all contribute to a uniform collective consciousness. Within that collective consciousness, we come to believe that no truth exists outside these frameworks. In the process, we lose sight of the truth each person carries within: the divine spark.
This isn’t about conspiracy theories. I believe that the Creator made, makes, and will make all things, and that He is good and does good. But we’ve forgotten a principle of Creation: free will. The Creator cannot choose for us without contradicting that principle. He is waiting for us to awaken to what wondrous and powerful beings we are and to stop behaving like sheep.
Listen in and find out how it’s done.
